Wildwood Pool + Shop CLICK TO DOWNLOAD PROJECT BROCHURE The Owners chose the 47 acre site specifically for the views to the East which highlight the Three Sisters in the Cascade Range, and Spencer’s Butte closer-in. The project will be constructed in two phases, beginning with the shop & pool house building. After it’s complete, the shop space will be used to stage the construction of the main residence. Both buildings will face east, for maximum views, and will be connected by terraced gardens planted with native plants. The first phase Shop and Pool House has large bays on the first floor for ease of access to the workshop spaces. Guest quarters, office space and studio space fill the top floor. On the East side of the shop building, the pool house encloses a salt-water swimming pool that is oriented to take advantage of the views while swimming laps. A spa fills the adjacent bump-out window and spill-over. Planting areas allow for greenery inside, and large sliding doors open the pool to the outside during nice weather. High ceilings and double-height windows let views and light stream into the office and studio spaces. The exposed wood is reclaimed fir lumber, and the stone used on site will be locally-sourced. Radiant floor heating throughout the buildings delivers an even heat. The energy shed housing the mechanical systems is a separate structure to the west of the shop building. It will contain the geothermal system controls and solar electric system.
