Marcola Meadows

Location: Springfield, OR | Completion Date: In Progress

Marcola Meadows is a master planning, mixed-use project located in Springfield. This project is an ongoing, collaborative effort among engineers, architects, landscape architects, and developers. This project includes different development styles, from local community retail to large-scale retail; from detached single-family homes to apartment buildings. The various independent neighborhoods each have their own identity, yet still relate to the overall style of the development. The project also has a stormwater system that incorporates a series of wetlands and urban parks that wind through the entire development, tying everything together with pedestrian walking paths.

Our team assembled the overall scheme to emphasize nature paths through the neighborhoods, wetland and stormwater features, and easily navigable traffic patterns. This process has included meeting with the developers, working with the City of Springfield Planning Department, and meetings with neighbors.
