19th St. Student Housing

Location: Eugene, OR | Completion Date: In Progress

Located immediately south of the University of Oregon, 19th St. Student Housing is a three-story multi-family housing project. Unit types range from 2-bedroom flats to 2-story, 2 and 4-bedroom premium units that offer incredible views of the surrounding urban fabric.

The project is a series of three buildings that are oriented around a courtyard. This allows the residents to have a public outdoor area that supplies natural light and fresh air to all interior spaces. The courtyard and the south building are elevated above an open parking garage located at street level.

This high-density, urban infill project is designed to be energy-efficient, to have durable, low-maintenance materials and systems, and to be integrated into the existing streetscape. All of 19th St. Student Housing stormwater is treated on-site. Limited artificial lighting is needed in the day because large windows flood the interior spaces with daylight.

19th St. Student Housing is designed to achieve the Silver Level in the Earth Advantage Program, administered locally by the Eugene Water and Electric Board. Earth Advantage is a rigorous program that ensures that certified buildings are built with rapidly renewable, recycled and recyclable materials, run efficiently, and do not release harmful gasses to inhabitants.
